A huge well done to them for their determination, resilience and hard work which has taken them all the way to London! We are absolutely delighted to have walked away with 2 Gold, 1 silver and 2 Bronze medal. We couldn’t be prouder of our team!

Yesterday, the whole of St Wystan`s School enjoyed the live performance of The Snowman.⛄️ The pupils were in awe of the live orchestra along with an interactive story and wondrous solo vocal performances. It was a wonderful festive experience to share with the whole School together.☃️

A brilliant week of hockey for Forms 3–6, with teams showing real determination, teamwork and skill in chilly conditions. Our U11s impressed against Lichfield with plenty of chances and superb effort across the pitch, while two Form 3 & 4 teams travelled to Dixie, securing 2–0 and 5–3 wins after energetic, end-to-end play.
A huge well done to all our players for their commitment and spirit, and thank you to our hosts for such warm hospitality.

On Monday, Form 5 celebrated Ancient Greek Day, which was an exciting opportunity to immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of ancient Greece. Dressed as gods, goddesses and soldiers, we brought mythological creatures to life while exploring key aspects of Greek knowledge and tradition.

On Saturday morning, our Prep Choir filled St Wystan’s Church with festive melodies during a wonderful carol singing event. It was a fabulous way to connect with our community and share the joy of Christmas.

This week was a chance to celebrate all things to do with numbers and shapes! In every classroom, there was a buzz in the air as they were challenged to use their knowledge to solve a fabulous range of puzzles and brain teasers. From thinking about types of triangles to helping Pudsey with some coin challenges, the pupils enjoyed stretching their brains and aiming high!

The whole school supported Pudsey on Friday by dressing in yellow and something spotty. Thank you for the donations to this wonderful cause!
We would also like to give a special mention to a past pupil, Matthew Humphreys, who took part in the BBC Rickshaw Challenge in 2014. Matthew left SWS in 2009 but has since been in touch to share his newly published book!
