St Wystan’s aim to give children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy and independent lives. It helps them understand how they are developing physically, emotionally and socially, in a safe environment with a positive and supportive ethos.
We encourage the children to play a positive role in contributing to the life of the school and improving their well-being. We help develop their sense of worth and confidence to take risks and manage change. They begin to learn about rights and responsibilities and learn to appreciate what it means to be a positive member of a community.
Pupils at St Wystan’s are afforded time and space to flourish within a very supportive environment. They have the opportunity to take part in a wide and varied extra-curricular programme, which includes opportunities to challenge their mind as well as providing a plethora of sporting opportunities. The music department, as well as supporting children within curriculum time, provide a chance for children to further develop their musical skills by attending choir and orchestra, as well as individual lessons that take place within school, should a pupil wish to take up the opportunity.
