St Wystan’s School proudly took part in the village Remembrance Parade on Sunday. Our pupils showed great respect as they joined the community in honouring those who have served and sacrificed. We are incredibly proud of their thoughtful participation in this important tradition.

This week we rocked our odd socks to celebrate what makes each of us unique - because difference is powerful and kindness is cool!
This year’s Anti-Bullying Week theme is ‘The Power for Good’, and we’re showing what a difference we can make if we are kind, include others and speak up.
At St Wystan’s we stand together to say NO to bullying and YES to celebrating individuality.

We had a blast making leaf fireworks, mixing our own mud, and sliding down the mud pile! Our free toddler sessions are always full of laughter and excitement.
Keep an eye out for our next Christmas-themed toddler adventure!

Our Harvest Festival was a wonderful celebration of gratitude and giving 🌾💛
Pupils shared harvest fun facts, performed musical pieces, and presented generous food donations to South Derbyshire CVS, all within the beautiful setting of St Wystan’s Church.

100% of our Year 6 Leavers secured places at their first-choice senior schools.
We are also delighted to celebrate the success of a number of those pupils who have been awarded scholarships alongside their offers. Their achievements reflect the dedication, talent and ambition nurtured here at St Wystan`s.

🏊♂️ A fantastic effort from our swimmers at the ISA Midlands Gala! Out of 34 schools, St Wystan’s placed in the top 8 in half of all races.
Special congratulations to George B and Gabriel G, who both claimed multiple medals and qualified for Nationals in London next month, and to our Year 6 Boys’ Relay team for their Bronze finish!
St Wystan’s also proudly took home the trophy for Overall Total in a Large School - an incredible achievement! 👏💙

At St Wystan`s’ we love to celebrate all of our superpowers.
We have been learning and discovering about what makes people with dyslexia so awesome. It has inspired children to engage in a wide variety of activities and even to create pieces of writing all about their differences at home.

Our School Council members have been elected and are ready to roll for the year ahead. They are looking forward to using pupil voice to make some positive changes to our already amazing School. We can’t wait to find out what they have planned for the year ahead!

Autumn rambles are back! This week, Forms 2, 3 and 4 took a lovely walk around Repton, appreciating the autumnal weather and changing seasons. We also spent time sketching our surroundings and collecting evidence of autumn. 🍂🍄

On Tuesday we celebrated our annual St Wystan’s Day of Languages! ✨🌍
Our pupils (and parents!) went above and beyond with an incredible array of costumes representing countries from around the world. We were delighted to welcome talented linguists from Repton School, who kindly shared their language skills with us, and we’re so grateful to our parent volunteers who enriched the day by sharing stories from their home countries - and even teaching us some Japanese calligraphy!
Thank you to everyone who made the day so special. We hope our pupils have enjoyed sharing their new skills and that their enthusiasm for language-learning continues to flourish.
