On Sunday we celebrated our first ‘parkrun partnership’ event at the Swadlincote Junior parkrun!
It was so lovely to see the St Wystan’s uniform flying around the course! A huge well done to all 23 pupils (and parents!!) who turned up at 9am on their Sunday morning to run 2km. It was a wonderful turnout and we look forward to our next one. Remember, parkrun is on every Sunday so anyone can turn up, any week! 🏃🎽

What a wonderful week celebrating stories at St Wystan’s School!
From our cosy Pyjamas & Pages Day, where pupils arrived in their PJs with a favourite book and helped raise funds for our 100 Year Story Space & Library Transformation Project, to a spectacular World Book Day filled with creative, ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ costumes and a colourful whole-School parade — reading has truly been at the heart of School life.
Alongside this, pupils received their £1 World Book Day tokens to spend at participating booksellers, and our Book Swap Shop (4th–6th March) gave pre-loved books a new home, with all proceeds supporting our library transformation.
Stories shared. Costumes created. Books swapped.

We loved welcoming so many visitors to celebrate 100 years of St Wystan’s ✨📚
It was fantastic to see past pupils, former and current staff, and parents all coming together. One of the highlights was watching our current staff meet past pupils who started at the school over 60 years ago and later returned as parents themselves!
We were also gifted some amazing pieces of history, including old newsletters, invoices and registers, which will now become treasured additions to our school archives. It was great to welcome members of the Repton Historical Society too, who came along to learn more about the rich history of our beautiful building.
The evening was full of great conversations, wonderful memories, stories about where our past pupils are now, and even a look at some never-before-seen photographs.
Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a special celebration of our school community, past and present 💙

✨Day in Our Lives✨
Come with Henry and Ottilie for a day at St Wystan’s School. In Year 4, Henry focused on improving his skills at factors and detailed art sketches as well as enjoying break playing football with his friends. Ottilie’s favourite time of the day is break time but she also enjoys painting and making binoculars with her friends in reception✨📚🏃♀️
