Over the half term break, our whole school community once again came together to take on another challenge. Normally throughout the School year, there are plenty of opportunities for our students to take part in healthy competition in the form of Inter-house competitions. These ever so popular events have been tradition at St Wystan’s for many years, and has been sadly missed as a result of the pandemic and lockdown keeping us apart. However, Mrs Pearce introduced the first ever virtual Inter-House Competition, in the form of the ‘Half Term Hike’.

The competition commenced on Friday 12th February and ended on Sunday 21st February. Over the 10 days, the aim of the competition was for pupils to walk or run as far as they could, with their totals contributing to their House’s overall distance.

Mrs Pearce has been so impressed with everyone’s hard work and determination, especially over the half term break. Here are the final totals!

We have also had some fantastic individual efforts as well. Below are the pupils who covered the greatest distance individually for their house. This is a fantastic effort from them all and highlights that the house system encourages loyalty, pride and a sense of belonging.
