The Friends of St Wystan's School is a group of volunteer parents who help organise a variety of fund raising events (such as Quiz Nights, Christmas Shopping Evening, Dances, Barbecues) to assist the school with the purchase of resources and equipment and also to help the school with extra manpower on occasions. They also provide extra support to the school such as listening to readers and helping the younger children change for swimming.

The Friends of St Wystan's School is an integral part of the school providing support in all areas whether socially or educationally. Their fund-raising over the past few years has allowed for (among other things) interactive whiteboards in the classrooms, theme days, resurfacing of the playground and resources for clubs and activities. Recent fund-raising activities have included a Food Tasting Evening, Book and Cake sale and Easter Chocolate Bingo.

Each Form has a "Form Friend", someone to act as a point of contact for social events and information.

The support of the Friends is greatly appreciated by the school and new committee members are always welcome, (meetings are held once per half term), as all involved with the school deemed to be members of the 'Friends'. They are always receptive to new ideas or suggestions for occasions where money can be raised for the school. What better way to have fun, meet other parents and provide a supportive hand for your children and their education.
