Multi Skills and Cross Country House Competitions

Congratulations to all our pupils who took part in their respective House Competitions yesterday. It is fantastic to be able to hold much loved House Competitions once again after so much time spent at home.

Pre-Prep Multi Skills

Pre-prep, which includes Kindergarten, Form 1 and Form2, kick started the morning with a multi skills session in the School playground, each pupil took part in an agility run, speed bounce, standing long jump and a team sprint relay. It was fantastic to see the children all work together towards a common goal for their house.

Below are the results from the mornings activities:

First Place Falcon
Second Place Osprey
Third Place Eagle
Fourth Place Puffin

Prep Cross Country

The Prep School had the benefit of enjoying the afternoon spring sunshine for their House Cross Country Competition. Pupils were full of excitement, nerves and ready to take on the challenge. They all set off from the school field just behind Mitre House, and undertook just under a 1 mile loop. It was fantastic to see the effort that each pupil put into their performance and the spectator support from both bubbles was a particular highlight and true testament to the St Wystan’s spirit.

Head of PE, Mrs Pearce discusses that “introducing house sport from an early age is vital to instill and develop a sense of belonging, teamwork, communication along with that competitive drive. Our St Wystan’s pupils feel proud to represent their house but understand the importance of fair play. We celebrate success while congratulating the hard work of others“.

Below are the results from the afternoon Cross Country competition:

First Place Puffin
Second Place Osprey
Third Place Falcon
Fourth Place Eagle

A big congratulations to all pupils!
