The Nursery is sited in its own area within the main school, with spacious accommodation through three rooms.
Our environment is organised to promote independence so that children can choose activities for themselves and move freely from one area to another. There are areas for children to engage in quieter and messier activities (construction and small world play; sand play, water play, play dough and painting; role play; book area; etc.) as well as an interactive whiteboard for children’s use.
We have our own outdoor “garden” area which includes our mud kitchen, together with a large playground area in which the children use the tricycles and scooters, large blocks and other equipment to support their gross motor physical skills. Nursery pupils also have the advantage of weekly Forest School sessions which are held within the School’s Woodland Orchard.
